We view advanced funeral planning from a no- pressure approach. Our goal is to help you create a customized funeral plan that will allow you to know that your wishes will be followed. We accomplish this through a three- step process.
First, we sit down to get an idea from you or your family as to what kind of funeral you desire, and what is important to you to be included in that service. We create a service that will be fitting to your lifestyle and convictions.
Next, we collect your vital information and help you organize all of your items so that our family has a comprehensive and updated listing of your will, insurance policies, cemetery deeds, and other important documents. This step is very important, and allows your family peace of mind, knowing that they do not have to search for this information because it is already taken care of. If needed, we can help you find assistance through a local network of attorneys to make sure that your legal work is completed.
Finally, you will have the option to make payment for the funeral through a variety of different ways. Either with irrevocable burial accounts, insurance, or existing funds, and we will assure your family that these items are taken care of. It is important to note that in Pennsylvania, 100% of monies collected by a funeral home for pre-paid funerals must be put into trust or escrow to assure their safe-keeping. This is a consumer protection, and all funds are still kept in your name- including those that are designated irrevocable.
